Jumping rope & quick weight loss

When was the last time you jumped rope? For most people the answer would be back in Elementary School or possibly Junior High. It's actually too bad, because it is a very efficient form of exercise. Most people could easily walk for 15 minutes, but I would bet less than 1
percent of adults could jump rope for 15 minutes straight. Very few people, besides boxers, have ever seriously used the jump rope to achieve top condition.

The jump rope has evolved significantly from the playground days. It's no longer just a kid's toy, but a genuine piece of exercise equipment and rightly so. The jump rope is the simplest way to bring some awesome benefits to your body.

This is a tough cardio workout. If you have never jumped rope before and think it is easy, think again. Beyond the toned legs, your cardiovascular system is profiting greatly from this workout.

Your heart and circulatory system are working like you do when you sprint. And well all should know by now that an increased circulation and heart exercise is always a good thing. While this cardio action is taking place, the calories are burning away. You can burn more calories jumping rope than you do running

It seems almost too obvious to point out, but this is an incredible workout for your legs and Gluteus Maximus. Jumping rope utilizes just about every single muscle in your leg. It may seem too good to be true, but it hits them all.

A bonus benefit of jumping rope is coordination and timing. A lot of people don't realize the benefits having to time your jumps in sync with your hands turning the rope. Your brain kicks in and is forced to help get a rhythm going. You may trip a few times at the start, but in a short time you will develop a rhythm of your own. You will benefit from this new coordination with quicker responses in other areas of life and realize jumping rope is an excellent workout that isn't just for kids anymore.
